The Business-to-Government (B2G) market focuses on the biggest whale of a customer found anywhere in the world. In business, whales are clients that can turn small businesses into large corporations through rapid growth, and the federal government has been the source of exponential growth for companies that understand the rules and how to play the B2G game. Currently, over 33,000 opportunities are active in the federal business database, FedBizOpps.gov, of which over 12,000 are set aside for small business. Small companies can compete in a national market throughout the United States, thus a business in Brevard County, Florida can compete ...

Randy Mauldin took away the fear factor and clearly explained how to get in the game for government contracts. I would highly recommend B2G services from Jack Quinn Solutions, LLC as the way to get started in the government market.” June 17, 2010 - Jerry W., ...
Currently over 32,000 opportunities are active in Fed Biz Ops (http://www.fbo.gov), of which over 13,000 are small business set aside contracts where only small businesses are allowed to compete. You may not realize that a business is not required to be co-located with an agency to respond to a federal opportunity, so a business in Brevard County, Florida has the opportunity to compete for and win a contract in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Procurement officials only need two qualified responses from small businesses to set aside an opportunity which limits the competition. However, contract officers ...

On Wednesday, 11 August 2010, over 20 business owners gathered for Get in the Game to learn about doing business with the government. Congressman Bill Posey kicked off the event with comments about small businesses exploring different avenues to generate revenue for their business. Mr. Jospeh Sofia explained how banks evaluate businesses for financing and provided information about why businesses need proper accounting to prepare for a meeting with a commercial lender. Proper accounting not only prepares a busienss for the bank, but also prepares a business for the Defense Contract Auditing Agency that justifies expenses to ensure “best value” for tax payer dollars. Mr. Wayne Cooper discussed the differences between commercial accounting and government accounting, so business owners can establish the processes necessary to compete for government contracts and be compliant with federal regulations. Dr. Randall Mauldin finished the evening by illustrating the opportunities in the B2G market and explaining the steps required for a business to get in the game. With over $500 billion available in the B2G market, learning the rules to be competitive is a must for any business that wants to expand in to the federal market. Dr. Mauldin explained the benefits and the processes in a way that enabled many business owners to take action.
